Makin' Pickles!
Refrigerator Dill Pickles
7 small pickling cucumbers (I just used 3 regular sized cukes from the grocery)
12 fresh dill sprigs
1 large onion, thinly sliced
4 large garlic cloves, thinly sliced
16 oz. water
16 oz. white vinegar
1/2 cup canning salt (or coarse Kosher salt)
If you use the bigger regular cukes, cut them in half, then cut each chunk lengthwise into 4 spears. In a large bowl, combine the cucumbers, dill, onions, and garlic; set aside. In a saucepan, combine the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; cook and stir just until salt is dissolved. Pour over cucumber mixture; cool.
Cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 24 hours. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.
ENJOY! :-)

My Onion for Tomorrow
This picture is a piece of onion I had stored at the bottom of the refrigerator in a Ziploc bag that me or my roommate will use for cooking time after time until it is finish. This will not contribute to foodborne illnesses because it is properly store and we cook it before consumption.
